What we have built in
- Semantic HTML with a single, meaningful heading structure on every page
- A skip-to-content link for keyboard users
- Visible focus indicators throughout
- Color contrast checked against WCAG 2.1 AA for body text and interface elements
- Text that reflows and remains readable when zoomed or on a small screen
- Wide tables that scroll within their own container, so the page itself never scrolls sideways
- Descriptive link text rather than "click here"
- Form fields with real labels, not placeholder text standing in for one
Standard we are working to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Accessibility is not a one-off exercise — pages get added and things get missed, so this is a standing commitment rather than a completed task.
If something does not work
Tell us. Call 503-785-3200 or email info@hts.tax with the page and what happened. We will fix it, and in the meantime we will give you the information you were looking for by whatever means suits you.
Our offices
If you have access requirements for an in-person appointment at Clackamas or The Dalles, tell us when you book and we will make arrangements. Remote appointments are available for every service that does not require a physical signature.
