What a loan signing involves
- Verifying identity for every signer on the loan
- Presenting the package in order and pointing out where signatures, initials and dates are required
- Notarising the documents that require an Oregon notarial act — typically the deed of trust and related instruments
- Checking the executed package for omissions before it leaves
- Returning the package per the lender or title company’s instructions
Coverage
Signings at our Clackamas and The Dalles offices, and mobile signings across the Portland metro and the Gorge by arrangement. Evening and weekend appointments are frequently possible — most refinance signings are scheduled around a workday.
How long does a signing take?
A typical refinance package runs 45 to 60 minutes. A purchase package can run longer.
Can you travel to us?
Yes, by arrangement, within the Portland metro and the Gorge.
What if a signer cannot attend?
Every signer on the loan must be present and identified. Tell us in advance if someone is signing under a power of attorney — lenders have specific requirements for that.
Do you work with title companies directly?
Yes. Escrow officers and title companies can schedule with us and receive the package back per their instructions.
